Futurist Don Libey to Speak At KC Direct Marketing Association Meeting

(Kansas city, mo.) ... Don Libey, president of Libey Incorporated, West Des Moines, Iowa, will present "The Futurist's Outlook for the Coming Century" at the Kansas City Direct Marketing Association meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 10, at the Kansas City Marriott Downtown, 200 W. 12th St. Registration begins at 5:30 and dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $30 for members and $45 for nonmembers.

Libey will offer an entertaining and insightful look into the next century, including tips on how to improve marketing success in a changing economy. His company provides strategic advisory services to CEOs of direct marketing organizations and private equity firms. The author of eight books on marketing, future change and the global marketplace, his most recent book is "Libey and Pickering on RFM and Beyond." (RFM is "Recency, Frequency and Monetary value"). He is also a principal of Concordia Financial Group Inc., a Philadelphia-based investment banking firm.

Workshop

A workshop on "Bridging the Brand/ROI Gap," from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., will cover strategies for weaving brand insights into direct marketing programs. The presenters are from Weyforth-Haas Marketing of Overland Park, Kan.: Barb Murphy, executive vice president, chief marketing officer; Susan Reiter, vice president/direct marketing; and Dianna Hakim-Nixon, director, market planning and research. Cost is $20 for members and $30 for nonmembers.
