Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Analyst, Sales and Marketing Reporting to join our Sales & Marketing Support Functions group located at our St. Joseph, MO facility. As an Analyst for the Sales and Marketing Support Functions group you will be responsible for providing analytical support to assigned customers as well as producing, validating and analyzing marketing program, sales call activity and marketing/sales performance for monthly processing and ad hoc requests.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop, automate and produce monthly and ad hoc analytical analysis by evaluating, validating and reporting on multiple data sources.
- Provides analytical support to Marketing and Sales Management via support of ad-hoc requests to achieve their business goals.
- Provides analytical support to National Sales Directors, & field sales for sales force productivity (via Dashboards to sales management), and field sales tactical support (weekly reports to increase call effectiveness).
- Assists in the development of solutions to a variety of complex problems, including those not covered by policies and practices and may require significant interpretation. Develops project plans that are simple to moderately complex in scope. Designs queries for new issues. Self-directed in data-mining and exhibits innovation when presenting materials and project plans, including possible solutions. Investigates data anomalies and trends. Routinely communicates (insights, findings, and plans) to mid-level customers and Sales Management.
- Based on analysis and with input and guidance from manager, may recommend areas of opportunity that will help marketing increase program effectiveness & Sales Management to direct resources that will optimize sales efforts.
- Communicates directly with project teammates, department personnel and first line management. Member of intra departmental project teams with primary role of task execution. May identify process gaps and elevates to immediate supervisor for resolution upon request.
- May support marketing requests for direct mail lists and assists in the process? to analyze/measure results.
- Performs all Company business in accordance with all regulations and Company policies and procedures. When violations are noted/observed they are to be immediately reported to management. Demonstrates high ethical and professional standards with all business contacts in order to main BIVI's excellent reputation within the Animal Health community.
Required Education & Experience:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree required
- Minimum 1 year related business experience required
- Prior animal health and/or pharmaceutical experience and knowledge of pharmaceutical data a plus
- Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously
- Fundamental ability to achieve results in a highly matrixed organization
- Experience and demonstrated aptitude with MS Excel, MS Access and MS PowerPoint required; SQL, Update CRM, SAS and MS Access a plus
- History of successful performance
- Minimum 1 year of experience with Business Intelligence software (preferably Cognos and Crystal Reports)
- Demonstrates acceptable level of performance for all Analyst II competencies as defined in the On Track To Success Competency Model
- Ability to travel (may include overnight travel)
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
- Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including verification of your past employment, criminal history, and educational background
- Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Internal Candidates:
- Max Plan rating of MET EXPECTATIONS for the most recent (minimum 3 years) of Company employment
- No disciplinary actions in Personnel File for previous 12 months
- Not currently on a Performance Improvement Plan
- Must have 6 months in current job
