Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Brand Manager - Equine to join our Equine Marketing department located at our St. Joseph, MO facility. As the Sr. Brand Manager you will develop and implement brand plans and tactics for a US brand or an indication for a brand to meet business objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement marketing plan tactics to support the brand strategy, in collaboration with other brand team members, research and development and external agencies/vendors.
  •  Manage risk associated with marketing programs and material by working within the review process.
  • Assist in the development, management and monitoring of product forecasts and brand expense budget.
  • Assist in monitoring and analyzing latest trends in the market, competition and product performance; communicate insights and recommendations to team members.
  • Coordinate activities with internal and external partners/vendors to support and ensure the effective implementation of marketing plans/tactics. Interact with all levels of the Sales Force to ensure effective communication and a team approach to implementation of tactics.
  • Provide input to market research on study design and interpret findings to refine product marketing direction. Utilize CRM tool to drive marketing strategies and tactics to targeted customers (CVM). Implement through the BIVI sales force to the customer.
  • Effectively monitor, measure results and through this analysis to make appropriate pro-active business decisions.
  • Develop and work with Key Opinion Leaders to validate and optimize brand strategies and tactics.
  • Communicate strategic direction to internal partners to ensure alignment.
  • Performs all Company business in accordance with all regulations (e.g. EEO, FDA, OSHA etc.) and Company policies and procedures. When violations are noted/observed they are to be immediately reported to management. Required Education &

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including 2 years US pharmaceutical marketing experience or other relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding and ability to monitor budget and resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook and database applications.
  • Ability to travel (will include overnight travel).

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including verification of your past employment, criminal history, and educational background.
  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Internal Candidates:

  • Max Plan rating of MET EXPECTATIONS for the most recent (minimum 3 years) of Company employment.
  • No disciplinary actions in Personnel File for previous 12 months.
  • Not currently on a Performance Improvement Plan.
  • Must have 6 months in current job
