Direct Marketing Database Specialist
Job specific skills:
• Expert working knowledge of Postal Soft, Access, Excel and Lorton Data / NCOA Processing
• Thorough understanding of USPS standards; ensuring all data and mailing pieces are in compliance
• Working knowledge and history with direct marketing practices
• Expert in purchasing outside data for mail files
• Build vendor relationships through open and proactive communication
• Maintain accuracy under tight deadlines while managing multiple clients' data
The position responsibilities include list hygiene, list manipulation and exporting final mail files to the mail house. The position is also responsible for manipulating and analyzing purchased lists from third party vendors.
The individual must be able to pull counts, maintain client history and provide quick snapshots of list queries for the Direct Marketing Department and account teams. The individual has the sole responsibility of ensuring the integrity of the databases along with keeping an accurate working history for each client. Staying abreast of new developments in database techniques and methodologies in alignment with USPS standards is also required.
The position reports to the Direct Marketing Supervisor.

Direct Marketing Analytic and Reporting Specialist
Job specific skills:
• Expert working knowledge of Sequel, Crystal Reporting, Access, SPSS, and Excel; experience with Postal Soft, Lorton Data / NCOA Processing a plus.
• Working knowledge and past history in direct marketing practices
• Experience working with data tracking systems for regression analysis and reporting analytics.
• Ability to develop clear and concise insights through cross tabulation of data.
• Generate and distribute accurate and complete reports in a timely manner that comply with the objectives of a campaign as well as holistically for the company
• Determine targeted key metrics to track and monitor data for both client and purchased lists.
• Assist in processing and manipulation of lists.
This individual's main focus is manipulating multiple databases and performing campaign analysis. The position works collaboratively with Direct Marketing, Market Insights, Interactive / Media and Client Services staff to clearly identify performance problems, areas to leverage data, and to provide sound recommendations for our clients.
The position requires database knowledge to pull through multiple data sets from Direct Marketing, Online, Traditional Media, etc to form actionable insights. A working knowledge of basic data builds is required and the ability to communicate analytical results and recommendations to non-technical audiences. A minimum of 3 years of experience is required.
The position reports to the Direct Marketing Supervisor.
