KCDMA Member emfluence, a digital marketing firm and software company, will acquire Spiral16, an online listening and sentiment monitoring company previously based out of Overland Park, KS.
“Our goal is to constantly be adding to our marketing stack,” says emfluence CEO, David Cacioppo. “In this case, an opportunity to integrate new technology into our existing digital marketing platform turned into something bigger.”
Spiral16’s software sifts through the vast information internet and collects brand mentions, customer insights, comments and sentiment for brands to use to inform business and marketing decisions.
“Last year when we polled our users, the top rated feature addition that our clients asked for was social media monitoring,” says Cacioppo. “We have worked over the past year to integrate Spiral16’s listening analytics into our platform. During the process, we realized there was a bigger opportunity for combining the two powerful platforms. It adds to the emfluence suite of tools and will take Spiral16 from operating in a narrow marketing technology niche to becoming part of a broader array of digital marketing tools.”
Spiral16’s team moved from Overland Park into the emfluence headquarters in downtown Kansas City last week. They’ll be joining the corporate membership roster under the emfluence flag.
