New board aims to evolve the vision of Data-Driven Marketing as an integral strategy
The Kansas City’s Data Driven Marketing Association (KCDMA) announced today a new board slate, including seven new board members and ten returning board members to the nonprofit organization.
Susannah Sulsar, Director of Customer Experience Strategy at Barkley, was elected board president, succeeding Matt King of King Marketing Group. This will be Susannah’s fifth year of board involvement. Matt will retire from the board at the end of this year as Past-President after nine years.
“It was very rewarding seeing the KCDMA have another outstanding year, with high quality programming, events and the year-end successful AMBIT awards,” said King. “All of these successes could not be possible without the strength of the board and their committees. I look forward to seeing the KCDMA continue to contribute to the marketing and advertising community in Kansas City.”
The KCDMA contributes to the Kansas City community with events that bring national speakers to Kansas City to share their knowledge and experience. In addition to monthly lunch programming, every year the KCDMA holds three daylong seminars – one for new marketers or small businesses learning the basics of data-driven marketing; one for advanced practitioners; and one for non-profit organizations, in partnership with NonProfit Connect.
Of her new role, Sulsar said, “It’s an exciting time to be involved with the KCDMA. As data-driven marketing becomes less of a mysterious dark-art, and more seen as the future of marketing, our organization is growing and seeing more interest from the marketing and advertising community for new education around what industry leaders are doing to use data to improve ROI (Return on Investment) and create more engaged customers.”
The board’s mission for the 2016-2017 year is continuing quality education, but with a focus on evolving the programming on how to use data in new ways to drive marketing practices into the future.
