On November 6th, the Dream Hotel in New York City played host to the Direct Marketing News 40 under 40 award celebration.  Nominees from across the country came to be honored for their groundbreaking work in the field of Data Driven Marketing.  This included one of KCDMA’s own- Ms. Jessica Best. No one in the Kansas City community has done more to educate and advance the data driven marketing practice more than Jessica. As the Director of Data Driven Marketing for Barkley, she has taken home almost every honor possible from the KCDMA and has been one of our highest rated speakers for the past 7 years.

Hundreds of applications were submitted to the DMN news and according to the panel of 12 judges, the competition was fierce.  Jessica’s stand out nomination was supported by her national speaking engagements, philanthropic work in Kansas City, and the leadership role she has within the KCDMA.  When asked what this award means to her, Jessica said,

“I am so honored by this award. First, to have been nominated by my KCDMA family and my Barkley colleagues was incredibly special: I really value that acknowledgment, to be highlighted among many stars!

Then to have won…?! Out of all the under 40 direct marketers in the country? I am just over the moon!  

I’ll never forget the awards show in NYC, attending with a dear friend (another rising star of direct marketing), receiving a beautiful award, and minted recognition from one of direct marketing’s foremost publications, DMNews.
